THE JOB

In the role of Senior Engineer I, you will work for the TM1 Engagement team on delivering world-class marketing functions to all of Ticketmaster clients. Your focus will enable maximising revenue for both Ticketmaster and its clients. You will be expected to improve the Engagement application and leverage the fans and transactions data in new ways.

You will be responsible for owning the development and design of entire application components. You will have to rely on your wide-range of experience to resolve complex issues, and you will have to mentor engineers on your team.

You will work with a large variety of technologies and will be part of an DevOps & Agile team, responsible for the full end to end delivery of new functionalities, including testing and production support.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Design and develop a data-driven UI application
• Evaluate existing applications and services to determine technical changes and architecture improvements
• Architecture a simple, maintainable, ticketing-system agnostic, reliable and reusable data ingestion pipeline allowing clients and integrations to leverage fans and transactions data
• Plan stories and iterations to achieve product goals and roadmaps
• Be accountable of your team's performance
• Mentor engineers and promote motivation
• Develop on a PHP/VueJS and Java/React stack
• Develop on AWS and Kubernetes
• Ensure high quality through automated tests.
• Mentor engineers
• Interact with Product/UX to develop features

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
• Bachelor's in computer science
• 5+ years of development experience
• 5+ years of experience w/ Agile methodologies
• 3+ years of working full stack
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps
• Working knowledge of one or more database products (e.g. Oracle, MySQL, Snowflake)
• Experience on Big Data projects and messaging systems such as Apache Kafka
• Experience mentoring and/or leading fellow engineers
• Experience with production support
• Experience on marketing product is an asset
