THE ROLE

The Payroll Union Benefits Specialist will be responsible for preparing and processing all aspects of union benefit check production and distribution in compliance with numerous Collective Bargaining Agreements on a weekly basis. This person will report to the Payroll Supervisor

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

Union Processing Responsibilities:
• Will be responsible for all union payroll activities, including but not limited to the following:
• Union payment processing from initiation of payments, following up to ensure receipt of payment and distribution of union payments
• Maintaining union database of union payments including union payment check numbers, check amounts, date payments distributed
• Maintaining database of all active unions, contract dates, H&W rates, etc.
• Will be primary liaison for union audits and union information requests
• Payroll Processing Floater: Provide assistance during payroll processing
• Year-End processing duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Other duties, responsibilities and projects as assigned

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• Must have 2 years' hands on processing Payroll experience in high volume environment
• Garnishment processing experience
• Union experience preferred
• Working knowledge of payroll best practices.
• ADP and Web Based payroll systems/applications experience preferred
• High level of attention to detail
• Strong work ethic and team player
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
• Ability to comfortably work in a fast paced, time sensitive environment
• Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
