PRODUCT ANALYTICS MANAGER

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Line Manager: Sr. Manager, Product Analytics

Contract Terms: Permanent, 40 hours per week

THE TEAM

The Insights and Analytics Team at Ticketmaster is a highly skilled and collaborative team that identifies opportunities for improvements to product features and drives overall revenue by innovating new ways to look at data and providing analysis and insights. Members of the Insights and Analytics Team partner with business teams across multiple functions including Product, Design, Sales, Marketing, Strategy, & Finance providing analyses covering ticket sales, cross-channel subscription and shopping behavior, site analytics, incremental revenue streams, venue/client analysis, and customer lifetime value.

THE JOB

Data-driven decisions is a top priority at Ticketmaster. Our Analytics & Insights team helps drive strategic decision-making by providing meaningful business insights from data about our fan and their overall experience with Ticketmaster.

We are looking for an experienced Product Analyst with exceptional product sense to help champion the use of data in product decision-making. In this role you will work closely with our Product, Design, Engineering, and Ops teams to evaluate product opportunities, track product metrics, develop and analyze experiments, and drive deep-dive studies to identify new opportunities.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Serve as a consultative partner whose insight and recommendations drive our products forward
• Partner closely with Product and Design to define, measure and report on core product and feature metrics and identify opportunities based on data-driven insights
• Dive into user journeys and build models to understand the relationship between user behavior and products
• Manage the development and execution of customer-facing experiments (A/B tests) and distill their results into actionable outcomes, becoming a key voice in the discussion to enable better product features and drive growth
• Execute cohort studies and drive analyses to understand customer behavior and identify opportunities for improving our product(s)
• Lead market research and usability studies to uncover user flows and motivations
• Collaborate with data and business intelligence teams to develop reports and visualization dashboards
• Develop KPIs and build analyses that provides insight to financial models to measure and forecast the performance of new initiatives around key metrics such as traffic, conversion, and engagement
• Analyze competitive trends across the ticketing industry to identify market trends and opportunities

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES)
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience, with a background in some combination of ecommerce analytics, marketplace analytics, product analytics, and website analytics
• Ability to partner with key business stakeholders and support their business goals and initiatives
• The ability to translate analytical insights into clear recommendations and effectively deliver it to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Atypically strong ability to understand business priorities, recognize leverage in analytics projects, and prioritize appropriately
• Deep understanding of statistics, experimental design, and causal inference
• Ability to solve business problems through fact based and scientific analytics
• Prior experience with Google Analytics preferred
• Prior experience with BI reporting tools such as DOMO or Tableau preferred
• Ability to query databases (SQL, BigQuery etc.) or leveraging R/Python to analyze complex data a plus
• Bachelor's in a quantitative field, Master's degree a plus

• Strong interest and skills in problem solving and issue resolution
