JOB DESCRIPTION – IT Support Specialist

Location: Toronto, ON

Division: Ticketmaster Canada

Line Manager: IT Manager

Contract Terms: Full-Time, Permanent – 37.5 hours per week

THE JOB

As part of our national IT team, and as part of a centralized IT Business Technology team; this role will act as a technical resource implementing solutions with equipment and data as well as resolving technical issues and consistently providing top-notch customer service!

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Manage ticketing queue and allocate tickets appropriately to team.
• Provide immediate, high urgency support to all customers at our Ticketmaster and LN offices in Toronto (MAC/Windows), which will require mobility to handle walk-ups and emergencies in the buildings.
• Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and software, using standard business and administrative packages
• Install, assemble, and configure computers, monitors, network infrastructure and peripherals such as printers, scanners, and related hardware
• Troubleshoot problems with computer systems, local file servers and e-mail, network, and peripheral equipment
• Assist with the planning, design, research, and acquisition of new or upgraded hardware and software systems. Maintain current knowledge of hardware, software, and network technology and recommend modifications, as necessary.
• Carry out equipment installations at multiple office locations, following established procedures to deliver consistent reliable end-user work environments.
• Assist with network setup and configuration including routers, switches, analog modems, and wireless access control devices.
• Responsible for compliance to all IT policies and procedures regarding documentation, labeling, asset tracking and quality assurance.
• Perform Active Directory & Exchange Messaging tasks using Active Directory and Exchange
• Manage and complete IT projects individually or on teams as directed by management
• Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)
• Degree in computer science or related field and/or experience in lieu of degree, or at least 2 years of comparable work experience
• Extensive knowledge of Windows is required; MAC OS and iOS operating systems experience is highly preferred
• 2 years+ of demonstrated progressive technical experience in a similar role within an MIS team or department
• Experience with Parallels, Windows 10, Microsoft Office applications is required (Windows and Mac)
• Experience performing Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, AD Domains and Exchange System Management tasks
• Working knowledge and experience with Casper, MAC scripting a plus
• Knowledge of VOIP technology
• Strong knowledge in the area of PC hardware and components such as monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives
• Comp TIA A+ and Network + preferred
• Experience supporting Cloud applications such as Box, OneDrive, and Google Drive
• Experience with an IT ticketing system (i.e. Zendesk) is a strong asset

YOU (BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, showing extensive experience supporting executive level customers
• Strong communication skills (oral and written), and customer service oriented
• Ability to work independently, Strong ability to manage multiple, high-priority tasks and meet deadlines
• Must be able to travel by car to other local offices if required
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record is an asset (candidates may be required to provide proof of driving record)
