JOB DESCRIPTION – HR ADVISOR

Location: Melbourne, Australia

Division: Ticketmaster APAC region

Line Manager: HR Director - APAC

Contract Terms: Full time (38 hours per week)

THE TEAM

The HR team provides support to all employees in the Ticketmaster APAC region and the Moshtix business. Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Advisor provides HR advice to employees and Managers for the region. You will form part of the global HR team and work closely with HR colleagues situated across all Ticketmaster offices globally.

THE JOB

You will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR advice and support while being a point of contact for all employees who require information pertaining to HR or in some instances general payroll or employment queries. You will provide efficient and reliable administrative support, overseeing the HRIS function of Workday and other employee software tools and contract management focusing on a high level of attention to detail. The HR Advisor will be a diversity lead for the APAC region and implement new initiatives for the company.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Provide HR advice on the interpretation of HR policies and procedures, employment legislation, providing risk analysis to support this.
• Provide accurate and consistent support on the employee life cycle and basic employee relations issues;
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with line managers within the business;
• Assist the HR Director in effective implementation of change to support adding value to the business;
• Responsible for maintaining accurate and digital filing system, employee files, HR related documentation, including updating electronic personal records using Workday in a timely manner;
• Ensure all offers of employment are produced in a timely fashion and that all documentation is returned and filed where appropriate;
• Responsible for on-boarding administration including, drafting work contracts, new starter legal working checks; visa checks, employment background screening and pre-hire administration, updating Workday, arranging new starter packs, drafting the new starter welcome email and drafting the first day employee email;
• Assist line managers and Payroll on Workday when they are creating a new role, adding a hire form;
• Initiate company wellbeing initiatives in the company and be active stakeholder in the OHS Committee;
• Provide support to HR Director in project work including learning and development analysis;
• Manage the employee engagement surveys and capture the data for reporting purposes.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)
• Experience in a similar role within a complex organisational structure.
• Highly proactive, organised and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• A strong administrator background with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Proficient to advanced skills with all MS office products;
• Strong Knowledge of HRIS systems;
• Promotes a positive and friendly attitude to work;
• Understands sensitivity & confidentiality surrounding HR practice;
• Responds with flexibility and resilience when faced with multiple demands, shifting priorities or rapid change;
• Displays ability to learn and use initiative;
