jOB DESCRIPTION – Business Intelligence analyst, Portfolio Management Office

Location: Ticketmaster International 4 Pentonville Road, London, N1 9HF

Division: Business Strategy, Transformation and PMO

Contract Terms: Permanent, 40 hours per week.

THE TEAM

The Business Intelligence Analyst, Portfolio Management Office, will be part of the Global PMO team. You will work with a team responsible for strategic planning, portfolio analysis, reporting and governance, robotic process automation, software capitalisation and all related processes, tools and systems.

THE JOB

The person we are looking for has excellent analysis skills, a keen eye for detail and an inquisitive attitude. They will understand the importance of accurate data and will invest time and effort to ensure these data are accurate. Excellent communication skills are essential; along with the ability to explain complex reports and analysis to non-specialists at all levels of the organisation.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Administering and maintaining accurate Enterprise Portfolio Management (EPM), Data, and Reporting solutions across strategic planning, strategic portfolio performance, software capitalisations, RPA and the wider business
• Design, develop and maintain end-to-end BI solutions (data integration, pipelines creation, data validation, data quality, data analysis, visualisation, automated reports, BI system failures notification process)
• Discovery, prototyping and PoC for data automation solutions
• Build configuration-based data pipelines to ingest and expose data in raw, staged, stored and analytics ready format
• Write and execute queries with universal approach to create robust pipelines and visualisations incorporating front-end and back-end coding for optimised results
• Conduct complex end-to-end data analysis by aggregating multiple business data feeds
• Develop and update technical documentation
• Responsible for the BI platform governance and administration
• Work closely with various business areas to better understand their requirements, processes and data definition, and translate those to business rules applied on data
• Work with teams across Ticketmaster to identify data analysis and reporting requirements to enable data-driven business decisions
• Introduce new KPI metrics to better record on-going performance and progress towards the company's Strategic Plan
• Create thematic visualisation packs to effectively communicate the results of the data analysis to introduce changes aimed at creating more efficient and effective processes
• Build dashboards and create high-quality reports to be consumed across the business up to and including Executive Board
• Build relationships and work with offices across multiple languages, currencies, and locations
• Actively participate in the development of a self-managing, cross-functional team where every member of a project believes that they are ''all in this together''

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
• Experience of working in at least one Enterprise/ Portfolio PMO
• Experience of working with Insight/ Data, Development, Finance and Strategy team
• Experience of managing at least one BI Solution (Domo, Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Microstrategy)
• Proven experience at and advanced level in Excel, Domo, SQL, CSS, Python. These are used daily to fulfil core requirements of this role
• Data integration, pipeline creation, data validation, data quality, data analysis, visualisation, automated reporting, BI system failures notification processes
• Exposure to Capex/ Opex reporting and associated processes
• Knowledge of project methodologies such as PRINCE2 and the Scrum/Agile framework
• An awareness of process improvement frameworks (eg Six Sigma)
• BSc or equivalent

• An evangelist for 'all things Data' who believes that the best way to win people over is by demonstrating results (proof-of-concepts, pilots, thin-slice delivery)
• A creative problem-solver, exhibiting common sense and analytical reasoning skills and taking ownership of issues to the point of resolution
• A good presenter with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with a variety of personalities and styles
• A great facilitator with the ability to run sessions from which structured outputs/artefacts can be generated.
• A rigorous approach to work and an eye for detail
