KFSM, The TEGNA CBS affiliate serving as a news leader in the Fayetteville and Fort Smith market is searching for a Multi-Skilled Journalist (reporter) to work in our Fayetteville newsroom.

Do you have creative ideas to generate unique, shareable content across all platforms with strong writing, photography and editing skills? Keep reading.

Candidates should have a portfolio showcasing examples of compelling storytelling, and breaking news coverage.

Candidates should also have strong news judgement and be able to help other reporters and producers.

That strong news judgement should also help guide what local news should be on air, digital and social media platform.

Responsibilities:
• Generate strong story ideas with great impact on the community
• Deliver on-air news events in compelling and informative manner
• Generate and execute creative live shots to enhance storytelling
• Interview news subjects and research facts for authenticity and accuracy
• Write, shoot and edit stories for on-air broadcast
• Community and/or talent appearances
• Perform other tasks as News Director or Executive Producer requires

Job Requirements:

Requirements:
• Ability to shoot, write, edit and produce to strict deadlines
• BA/BS in journalism, communications or other field
• Valid driver's license
• Minimum 1-2 years' experience required
• Ability to calmly handle live, breaking news and fluid situations
• Strong social media skills with an active presence on Facebook and Twitter
• Ability to work under pressure with limited time to meet deadlines
