Job Description
KGW has a unique opportunity for a visionary Director of Sales. We are looking for a proven leader who is inspiring, positive, solution-seeking, collaborative, resourceful, digitally savvy, and results oriented to join our team of great people.

The Director of Sales is responsible for driving key revenue streams including spot television, web, mobile, and event marketing. This dynamic and driven leader will report directly to the President & General Manager and will be responsible for generating revenue and creating demand on all KGW's platforms.

Responsibilities:
• Effectively coach, lead and motivate a team of local sales managers, account executives, and support staff to achieve budgeted revenue plans
• Establish a clear vision for the department from revenue to behavior, setting goals and standards, monitoring performance, and holding the team accountable
• Achieve annual revenue plan in core, enterprise, and digital business
• Drive revenue generation, grow revenue share, and create demand on all media platforms
• Develop and implement sales projects that create spot demand and generate incremental revenue
• Create strategies and products that position the KGW revenue team as marketing experts and solution providers, dramatically expanding the sales funnel
• Recruit, develop, retain, and supervise an elite, high-performing sales team
• Establish and maintain deep rooted relationships with key local clients and agencies at all levels, and act as an influencer and accelerator for business opportunities
• Optimize the vast product set, training opportunities, vendor, and consulting resources available to KGW and the KGW sales divisions
• Utilizing qualitative, data position KGW audiences across all platforms to maximize revenue share
• Lead change effectively, and innovate and embrace new product opportunities
• Price inventory to meet and exceed budget goals with accurate forecasting
• Partner with others on ratings estimates and projections to optimize value
• Work collaboratively with the KGW department heads and station management
• Represent KGW in external sales and marketing related industry functions

Job Requirements:

Requirements:
• College degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
• A minimum of five years' experience in a broadcast television station, including at least three years managing a high performing sales team
• Sales leadership experience in a top 50 market preferred
• Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills
• A track record of successfully generating revenue for the company and advertisers
• Excellent analytic skills and advanced knowledge of television sales software systems and processes – Salesforce.com and Matrix experience preferred
• Ability to develop and communicate effective and persuasive sales related presentation
