Job Description

KENS 5 TV, the CBS affiliate in San Antonio, TX, is looking for an ambitious, energetic Associate Producer for the weekday morning Lifestyle show, ''Great Day SA.'' For this entry level position, applicants must have up to 1 year of experience in broadcasting. The ideal candidate must also have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and knows the latest trends and local happenings. Responsibilities:
• Produce engaging content for our daily show
• Book guests for in-studio, on-remote, and pre-taped segments
• Assist in researching content for show and social media
• Manage the production floor as needed, which will include setting up display for segments and miking up guests
• Manage in-studio guests and clients upon their arrival
• Shoot and edit video for show
• Work and collaborate with editors & producers
• Collect, store and organize footage
• Create graphics and implement them in shows
• Write stories for web, social media and show
• Assist Executive Producer with administrative tasks

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in film, television or equivalent professional experience
• Experience in content creation and video production
• Must have a positive attitude with a creative mindset
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must be able to multitask and manage time accordingly
• Flexibility and on-the-spot problem solving abilities are a must
• Detail-oriented
• Must be a team player
• Must be savvy with social media
• Some experience with shooting and editing video
• Some experience with Adobe Photoshop & Premiere
• Some knowledge of ENPS or iNews
• Travel: Rarely: less than 10%
• Work Environment Set: Office: normally performed in a typical interior/office environment
• Physical Demands Set: Light work: Involves sitting most of the time, walking, lifting, bending, standing, etc.
