Job Description

Responsibilities
The Specialist, Scheduling and Planning plays a key role in the execution of Telemundo Network's scheduling strategies for linear.

Job Duties
• Scheduling monthly grids, updating, and alerting teams of any episode changes
• Act as liaison between the Scheduling & Planning team and internal departments, such as Program Editing, Media Operations and Title Governance
• Coordinate scheduling of Educational and Informational programming
• Create and post program changes
• Coordinate backup programming for live events as needed by network operations team
• Compose and distribute programming briefs in Spanish and English
• Assist with tracking competitive schedule information

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Knowledge of scheduling programming tools is highly preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in broadcast television or cable television programming and/or scheduling
• Bachelor's degree with a focus in Journalism/Mass Communication or equivalent experience
• Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
• Must be able to communicate effectively with employees across all levels of the organization as well as external partners

• Must be willing to work in Miami, FL
• Must be available to work all shifts, including early mornings, evenings, holidays, weekends, late-breaking news, and hurricane emergencies.
• Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submit your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.
