The WSCV Journalist will be responsible for, but not limited to, gathering information, shooting, writing and editing newsworthy events including breaking/spot news, general news, sports and feature stories relevant to the South Florida community. Will also be responsible for creating web and social media content that complements nbc6.com and a variety of other platforms. Develop and maintain a network of news sources providing access to exclusive local news stories.
Undergraduate degree required.
Must possess a minimum of three years television reporter experience.
One year minimum experience in one or more platforms of Social Media.
Spanish language required.

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including overtime and on weekends.
Must be willing to work at the station in Miramar location.
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.
Must be 18 years or older.
Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
BA or BS in Journalism, Communications or Political Science preferred.
General Assignment reporting skills preferred.
Must have excellent writing skills as well as very strong speech skills.
Must be able to ad-lib effortlessly in various types of situations, particularly breaking news.
Strong live reporting skills. Able to handle working under the pressure of intense deadlines.
Possess the ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
