Job Description

Responsibilities
• Executing APC Operator duties when scheduled in that role.
• Train necessary personnel on APC and Newroom System, including editing functions.
• Provide technical & Operation support to newsroom.
• Troubleshoot and answer questions from content producers. Escalate to IT if necessary.
• Maintain Inception/Stratus system for all file management (purging, etc.)
• Ingest video files from all formats and distribute to appropriate folders
• Support Newsroom staff with late coming video files (packages, vos, etc.) for live broadcast.
• Set up and maintain daily feed request schedule.
• Provide daily report for any issues that may have presented itself during the day. (IT, Technical Operations, etc.)
• Coordinate with producers and provide video feeds to NBCUniversal properties.
• Gather content and send to field crews via Latakoo if needed.
• Support Tech Ops team with weekly maintenance of equipment by backup/reboot per SOP's

Qualifications/Requirements
The individual must have minimum 3 years experience in a broadcast facility. The applicant must be able to multi task and work in a group environment.

Eligibility Requirements:
• Able to work a flexible schedule, shifts and overtime, including nights, holidays, weekends and on-call.
• Must be willing to work at the station in the Tampa, FL location.
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Must have a valid Florida driver's license.

• Must possess computer skills including proficiency in Newsroom Related systems such as Inception,ENPS, Dalet and Microsoft Outlook.

Desired Characteristics
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a broadcast technical school.
• Experience in IT/Control Room equipment
• Knowledge of multiple acquisition including legacy to IP connectivity
• Experience in camera video set up and shading.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
