Job Description

Responsibilities

NBC 6 / Telemundo 51 (WTVJ/WSCV) has an immediate opening for a Graphic Designer. The creative individual will design and animate graphics for use in news, promotions, community events, sales spots and produce graphics for print and digital as necessary. The position is 90% broadcast & motion graphics and 10% digital and print graphics. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of design and previous experience at a local broadcast television station.

Responsibilities:
• Execute creative concepts and produce design projects from concept to completion.
• Conceptualize and design special, animated show-opens and related graphics.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects, Adobe Premiere)
• Exceptional sense of layout and typography
• Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline driven environment and work well under pressure.
• Willingness to work extended shifts on short notice and cover any last minute developing and breaking news assignments.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment across various departments including News and Sales.
• Design digital and print ads and related material as necessary.
• Catalogue graphics, digital media, photographs and other related marketing material.
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program.
• Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or must undergo regular COVID-19 testing if Company determines your job position requires accessing an NBCUniversal worksite.

Qualifications
• 2 years working at a broadcast station or network
• Highly organized, self-starter and resourceful
• Great eye for detail
• Bi-lingual English and Spanish
• Editing, sound design, and photography / shooting capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and work well in a team and autonomously.
• Continuous learner who stays up to date on latest industry standards, graphics production techniques and technological trends.
