Job Description

Responsibilities
Execute T44 Community Affairs strategy and cover community stories/ events for various newscasts and platforms.

Job Duties
• Enterprise stories focused on community
• Shoot, write and edit newsworthy community events including breaking/spot news, general news and feature stories
• Produce original content for Digital Platforms
• Develop and execute the community outreach efforts working closely with all departments
• Build strong relationship with the community organizations, non-profits, local advisory boards and the entertainment/broadcast community
• Represent T44 at local community events, programs and networking opportunities
• Organize ascertainment meetings between senior management, news and community leaders
• Report from field, live shots, interviews, and package stories
• Provide input to the show producer on content and format
• Research, plan, and schedule stories or segments
• Write scripts, lead-ins, cues and bridges
• Anchor community shows
• Provide coaching and input on stories to other staff members
• Active social media presence

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Multimedia Journalist
• Minimum of 4 years of anchoring experience in a local station or network news environment
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) both written and verbal
• Bachelor's Degree in broadcast Journalism or equivalents work experience
• Must be willing to work in Washington, DC
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays or overnights as required
• Must have valid driver's license
