We are now hiring a new Lighting Team Leader to plan and execute the Lighting team's day-to-day activities, ensuring highly adaptable digital simulations and procedural workflows, taking charge of the lighting production, and working closely with senior Artists and Leads to achieve the highest quality output and managing and mentoring junior and mid-level team members, with a strong leadership style, exceptional artistic and technical abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement the department's technical solutions in collaboration with the Lighting Supervisor and the Image CG Supervisor
• Supervise the work of your team (6- 10 artists)
• Distribute and assign plans to artists, in collaboration with the production manager and based on the inventory
• Provide strong artistic and technical expertise
• Address artistic notes and ensure follow up
• Ensure shots are completed in a timely fashion, respecting quotas set by the production team and the supervisor
• Ensure artistic consistency between shots
• Submit shots for reviews and work closely with the team
• Communicate with your Lead and Supervisor

Qualifications
• Experience as Lead Lighting or Senior Lighting artist in the games industry
• Strong artistic ability with a good understanding of lighting and shading to grasp the detail and composition of the shot
• Good know-how of VFX comp and CG pipeline/workflow.
• In-depth knowledge of Maya and Game Engines (Unreal/Unity)
• Good understanding of Game Engine Lighting and shading techniques with excellent Look-dev skills.
• Prior experience managing and developing a team of artists

Any of the following is preferable:
• Experience using Unreal
• Knowing lighting and Look-dev in Houdini Arnold Mantra.
• Having Texturing capabilities in Substance/Mari
• Python knowledge
• Working with HDRIs, stitching HDRIs, Master shot lighting knowledge
• Strong understanding of lighting aspects with basic photography background

Any of the following is a great advantage:
• Experience using Bifrost
• Excellent written and verbal communication; and should be able to communicate across departments and with the Supervisor.
• Problem solver, enthusiastic about working within the VFX industry
• Worked on international Feature/Commercials form of VFX projects with a proven track record.
• A team player and open to discuss share and proposing creative ideas/approaches among teams and leads
• Should be adaptive and able to mould accordingly to the creative needs
