Job Description

Servicing the Gaming industry for over a decade, Technicolor Games uses advanced technology to develop concept art, previsualization and art direction, motion capture, key frame animation, CGI assets and immersive experiences for AAA game releases.
Our team of global artists delivers highly complex animation solutions for games, working with the full scope of game engine pipelines. We have delivered over 2000 minutes of animation, 20,000 gaming assets, and 75 game releases to date.

As we strive to push the gaming market forward, we work closely with our Technicolor Creative Studios partners network not only to develop content within Games, but realize gaming brands' full IP journey, from development of Marketing assets to feature length films.

Character Artists are responsible for producing high-quality assets for our high-end games.

We are looking for highly talented and motivated character modelers to join Technicolor Games' character team. As a character artist, you will work on player likenesses, clothing, texture variants, hair etc.

Qualifications

Asset Essentials:
• Excellent artistic eye for human proportions, shape language, composition, and lighting
• Create stylized real-time game character models, including UVs and textures
• Sculp and create materials for AAA quality, stylized characters in a PBR workflow
• Specific experience with facial modelling, blend shape and cloth creation in MD.
• Knowledge using adobe illustrator for painting/texturing and ZBrush for 3D work.

Any of the following technical skills is a bonus:
• The ability to rig, weight and set up controls and interfaces for characters is a plus.
• Basic experience with scripting is a plus.
• Basic experience in creating/writing shaders is a plus.
• Prepare character assets for export to game engines and set up within the game engine.

Any of the following experiences is a great advantage:
• Traditional art skills (figure drawing, landscape, animals, composition, perspective, etc.) working within game engines experience is a plus.
• Experience working with Scan/photogrammetry workflow is a plus.
• Thorough understanding of character art pipelines with excitement to push for next-gen techniques.
