A Facial Animation Artist should have a firm grasp of the animation principles and has the ability to hand-key realistic biped body and/or face animations. Ability to use the character rig and ''Performance Capture'' data provided to polish animations using the chosen style. They should be proactive in their pursuit of growth and development, with a goal of becoming more artistically independent.

This course will develop your skills in these areas:
• Good working knowledge of facial animation techniques that can be applied to create good quality work.
• Able to edit P-Cap data to suit the requirement such as character interactions, set interactions, timing adjustments using Story
• Be fluent in the use of Motion Builder.
• Follow Animation direction to realize the expected quality in fluidity, uniformity, justice etc.
• Understand and follow best practices, production pipelines and workflows.
• Willingness to develop an understanding of how other disciplines interact with Animation.

While you have previous training, this course is designed to sharpen your skills to be the best Character Artist you can be.

Whether it's working out areas of your game that need practice or introducing you to some techniques you may not have realized you're good at, this is what the course is about
• An online course of 8-10 week to get you up to the standard required to deliver the first-class VFX
• Dedicated mentoring from a senior industry member
• Intensive training using industry-standard software tools (provided) while using our high-quality training materials
• Continued access to video tutorials featuring industry experts and the potential to use your project work in showreels
• You will be hired as an employee (paid) during this program. After completing this course you will move on the floor at Technicolor Games for the remainder of your contract.

Qualifications
• Good working knowledge of Maya.
• Recent graduates of BFA/ Diploma/Other Certifications or entry/junior level candidates looking for their first break in the A&G industry.
• Candidates ready to cross the bridge from learning into a professional career.
• Artists with a drive, passion, and commitment to deliver first class animation

Good to have skills:
• Ability to use the character rig and ''Performance Capture'' data provided to polish animations using the chosen style.
• Knowledge of the video game industry and awareness of typical video game development processes is an advantage.
• Exposure to industry game engines, design toolsets and production pipelines is desirable.
• Previous experience of working in a games industry internship or studio is an advantage but not essential.
• Experience in using 3DS Max, Maya and Motion Builder is advantageous.
