Seasonal Festival Supervisor, Box Offices and Support

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Festival Supervisor, Box Offices and Support is charged with supervising our at-theater Box Offices, which provide Customer Support and act as our Information Booths and Lost and Found centers .

Working closely under the direction of the Festival Manager, Box Offices Ticketing and Support , the Festival Supervisor, Box Offices and Support furthers Sundance Institute’s commitment to ensuring all our patrons, both internal and the external public, have the best, most seamless Festival experience possible when it comes to attending their in-person screenings.

This temporary position works full time out of our Park City, Utah office in January and will be required to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, at key points around events and deadlines.

Top priorities include but are not limited to…
• Printing and distributing Ticket Pick-Up on a daily basis as patrons arrive at the box office.
• Assisting with conducting training and providing support to the box office agents and volunteers.
• Running daily audit reports to monitor ticket agent activity and to research discrepancies.
• Running daily accounting and other ticket reports as directed.
• Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting problems with ticket printers.
• Clearing all expenses through the Manager prior to being charged.
• Monitoring supplies to maintain adequate stock, including film guides, ticket and envelope stock, etc.
• Providing timely and ongoing communication with ticket agent staff when changes in policies, procedures, screenings occur.
• Communicating problems and concerns to the Institute Manager or Festival Manager.
• Supporting department planning and the move of the box office to off site locations as well as back to the main Park City office, including packing, setting up, tearing down, and returning equipment.
• Entering and tracking accurate information on customers and lost items in the Lost and Found system.
• Confirming customers who submit a Lost and Found ticket provide proper payment for item shipping if needed.
• Coordinating collection of all lost and found items at Festival venues during the Festival.
• Ensuring routine communication with patrons regarding lost items.
• Running daily reports from the lost and found system as directed.
• Entering and tracking patron correspondence when customers reach out about lost items.
• Providing the resources needed to the information booths throughout the Festival.
• Providing feedback for the written department wrap report.

You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• 2 years call center or customer support experience.
• Conflict resolution skills with a background that includes demonstrated excellence in managing stressful situations.

• Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with a variety of people.
• Excellent organizational skills including self-management of work schedule.
• Ability to work nights and weekends around events and key deadlines.
• Working knowledge of databases along with proficiency in Google Products.
• Experience working with TopTix or another ticketing system preferred.
