Sr. Technical Business Analyst

Job Description

Summary of Position
• Works with business and technical stakeholders to discover and analyze requirements for Web projects of varying size and complexity.

• Participates in feasibility meetings with developers during the requirements refinement process.

• Produces acceptance criteria, business rules, detailed requirements, user stories, use cases and business processes for consumption by development managers, developers and QA.

• Works with BAs or leads on other teams as needed when the project is a multi-platform request.

• Participates in Daily Standup Meetings and Sprint Planning ceremonies alongside the Development Manager to keep priorities accurate and help communicate levels of effort and set expectations around deadlines.

• Interfaces with developers and QA to ensure the requirements have been properly understood and executed.

• Plans and oversees user acceptance testing cycles including creating the testing strategy and identifying test environment needs.

• Continuously develops skills to stay on top of industry-leading techniques for business analysis and business process analysis.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related discipline with a preferred education focus on technology and business subjects.

Experience & Skills
• Ability to successfully conduct business requirement discovery and refinement meetings, document requirements and acceptance criteria for a variety of projects with competing deadlines and priorities, communicate needs to developers and testers, and oversee user acceptance testing cycles.

• Ability to analyze, identify and effectively communicate (both in writing and verbally) business and technical requirements, integration touchpoints, challenges and impacts of high complexity.

• Ability to develop working relationships, collaborate, gain agreement/commitment on a plan of action and effectively hold self and others accountable.

• Ability to quickly identify and define issues and their root causes, establish facts, provide options and make recommendations that apply to the business and technology environment.

Experience and Certifications Required
• 5+ years of business analysis related experience.

• Experience with Waterfall and Agile in a business and technology environment.

• Experience with JIRA or similar tracking tool.

• Business Analysis certification is a plus.

Compensation

$122,400 - $149,300
