Summary of Position

The Director, International Business Development & Partnerships will be responsible for deal negotiations and general business development across the Starzplay footprint. This role will report into the Vice President, Business Development and Partnerships and will be located in Starz Santa Monica office.

Responsibilities
• Support and drive deal negotiations for distribution agreements, bundle partnership, renewals, etc. with Telcos, Pay TV operators and OTT platforms

• Work with VP and local territory leads to source new distribution opportunities for Starzplay in key markets

• Align with legal team on term sheet and long-form agreement drafting process.

• Create and present pitch decks and other materials as part of the partnership pitch process

• Generate necessary analysis to evaluate and optimize economic terms for bundle and a la carte distribution deals

• Collaborate with Partner Marketing and Operations team on ongoing basis to ensure the successful launches of new partners

• Perform ad-hoc analysis around specific initiatives/opportunities for Starzplay

• Coordinate with the content acquisition team to ensure licensing deals align with distribution goals

Qualifications & Skills
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years in digital media

• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively while applying sound business judgment and quantitative analytics.

• A burgeoning leader in the SVOD space with the ability to contribute outside of core responsibilities

• Strong working knowledge of contracts and legal frameworks

• Preference for fast-paced environment with limited formal structure and process

• Highly collaborative approach to problem solving

• Exceptional communication skills with a desire to exercise transparency and give/receive feedback

• Regular international travel required

• Bachelor's Degree
