Summary of Position

The Director, Digital Marketing will focus on creating maximum engagement across the digital environment for STARZ's Brand and #TakeTheLead initiatives, managing the development and execution of integrated industry and consumer-facing marketing initiatives and programs that touch a variety of digital channels, while managing agencies and playing an integral role on the cross-functional #TakeTheLead team. The Director will be responsible for developing both industry and customer-centric online marketing experiences that extend the #TakeTheLead initiatives and increase general awareness of the STARZ brand.

Responsibilities
• Pursue partnerships with new/untapped digital platforms, working with the rest of the marketing team to develop innovative and effective marketing programs.

• Maintain robust knowledge of digital media and technology marketplaces and be an ambassador for digital within the business.

• Develop detailed communication plans for social environments including but not limited to editorial calendars and content release schedules for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and other relevant digital platforms.

• Spot digital trends, understand new technologies and social media behavior and align these with business objectives to create new and innovative marketing opportunities and solutions.

• Successfully execute Social and Digital programs through collaborative agency partnerships, tracking competitive research and essaying new and developing channels and technologies.

• Liaison to internal and external teams to assess digital metrics and trends to improve and/or add functionality, drive repeat visits, longer time spent on site/page and increase conversions to improve program performance.

• Ensure data, learnings and ROI analysis from marketing campaigns are reported back to the business.

• Create processes, reports, and work with internal and agency team to improve website and social engagement metrics. Work closely with the Corporate Research and Analytics group and other sources on obtaining relevant data as it relates to Digital Marketing, consumption of entertainment and our marketing efforts, developing methods to utilize data available, and strategies to acquire data from alternative sources, when necessary.

• Manage budgets, develop cohesive conclusions, and present key findings at the executive level.

• Manages relationships with various business units, departments, consultants, and external partners/agencies.

• Drive end results designed to support Business and Marketing goals and objectives, through SEM, email marketing, social media, digital advertising campaigns and website initiatives with internal and external partners.

• Evaluate emerging digital technologies, identify judicious partnership opportunities, advocate for innovation, and employ judicious thinking to tie digital, social, mobile, and evolving media components to the STARZ business.

• Strategize and manage STARZ Brand and #TakeTheLead Digital Marketing plans with the Marketing and Communications team to ensure optimization of all programs with a focus on driving engagement and awareness.

Qualifications & Skills
• ​​​​​​Significant experience in the entertainment industry.

• Bachelor's of Art or Bachelor's of Science degree in Marketing, Communication or similar discipline preferred

• Minimum seven years of prior Marketing experience with at least four years of Digital, interactive and/or Social Marketing experience as a Sr. Account executive, Brand/Integrated Marketing Manager (or similar role) including specific experience in developing and executing digital marketing plans; Foundation based on the core aspects of Marketing, including Digital, Consumer behavior, and Strategy

• Experience in developing and implementing digital strategies with a proven ability to leverage research and analysis to drive judicious direction, best practices and process improvements; and/or training; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Exceptional people and project management skills; ability to prioritize, multitask, focus, lead and delegate while adhering to strict project timeline and budgets.

• Strong understanding of growth and movement of digital landscape.

• Experience with a variety of social and digital publishing, monitoring, and analytics tools such as Sprinklr, Adobe Social, Nielsen Social, Spredfast, Telescope, Percolate, etc.

• Demonstrated data analysis/research skills. Working knowledge of Omniture and Google Analytics a plus.

• Strong appreciation and understanding of high-quality web design & usability, social media, mobile and new/emerging digital platforms.

• Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with excellent time-management skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to function well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

• Ability to think independently, self-taught, create and develop ideas that lead to positive change/improvements.

• Ability to accept changes readily, in job responsibilities and the work environment.

• Use of discretion and the maintenance of high levels of confidentiality are absolutely required.
