Summary of Position

The Apple Client System Architect is a highly technical position responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, administration, security, maintenance and support of the Starz/Lionsgate Apple client/server environment. The Apple Client System Architect is the key figure in setting policy and the subject matter expert on Apple Systems for end users. This position manages all packaging, compliance, life cycle and deployment for Apple applications. This position also architects, maintains and supports the JAMF, iOS, iPadOS, tvOS and Mobile environments. This position is a mentor for all other client system engineers and support engineers involved with Apple Client Systems. This role sets the roadmap for Apple Client systems with both Starz and Lionsgate and works in tandem with Lionsgate IT Engineers.

Responsibilities
• Creating and maintaining a strategic vision for Apple client systems

• Serve as a technical expert and will lead and work with users and technical peer groups

• Function as team lead for Apple client environment, provide oversight on daily activities to set priorities, function as mentor, help with problem escalation, and communicate significant problems or issues to management

• Participate in the identification of vulnerabilities and their mitigation

• Participate in the analysis, design and implementation of future infrastructure systems and services

• Create and maintain documentation on SOPs and system design

• Research, evaluate, recommend and implement new technologies

• Perform capacity planning, upgrades and expansion of Apple Client environment

• Maintain effective communications with vendors, peers and clients in support of assigned projects

• Execute change management activities supporting production deployments for projects and other changes

Qualifications & Skills
• Strong experience in desktop engineering and endpoint system management, design, architecture experience with configuration and software delivery management systems such as JAMF

• Experience in Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy management and architecture

• Strong experience with Apple Server architecture and deployment

• Experience in software packaging and software delivery methodologies

• Experience creating and managing automated OS builds and specifically experience in designing and deploying the Mac operating system

• Knowledge of desktop and application builds in MacOS

• Understand foundations of user experience management, performance testing, application packaging and Apple deployment

• Enterprise patch management experience

• Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to convey complex technical solutions to upper management in an easily digestible way

Compensation

$114,450 – $147,735
