Supervisor, Publicity
Based in our Seoul offices, this is an exciting position that will be responsible for generating positive media coverage and public awareness of the upcoming Sony movie releases. In this role you will be working to maximize publicity exposure for Sony titles through news releases and creative events that will garner interest from the media and public on a timely basis. You will also provide publicity support for locally acquired titles as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• To formulate, initiate and execute local publicity campaigns
• Spearhead, develop and execute consumer and media relations efforts at events including junkets, red carpets, premieres, press and public screenings, conferences and conventions
• Manage third-party agencies to maximize public relations (PR) exposure on TV, print, online/mobile and social media
• Manage and develop press and consumer communications, drafting materials including press releases, feature stories and social postings
• Maintain good relationship with press and Key Opinion Leader (KOL)
• Work closely with the publicity team in home office to address local needs and reporting the campaign status and results
• Serve as internal and external communication contact point and develop messaging to handle media inquiries, issues and activities related to the company and titles
• Plan and execute grassroots activities
• Support in public relations (PR) events from third-party brand partners if is needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum Degree qualification in marketing, communication, advertising, business administration, or relevant disciplines
• Experience as publicist in movie/entertainment industry, typically 3 years
• Good communicator with strong command in both Korean and English
• Experience in PR agency is a plus
• A team-player
