The Palo Alto Seni Network Security Engineer will be a member of a highly technical team responsible for implementing and maintaining our Security for all SPE Global Network Infrastructure. The security engineer is responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining enterprise security firewall policy rules. This team member implements and maintains firewall policies in a 24x7 enterprise production environment. The candidate we are looking for will be focused primarily on helping the Security team with migration planning and implementation. This position is a member of our on-call and is expected to participate in our on-call rotation.

JOB DUTIES
• Maintain on-premises and cloud-based packet filtering solutions
• Perform changes using Cisco ASDM and Palo Alto Panorama to manage the security policies on Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls
• Implement firewall changes using automation tools to streamline and optimize configuration changes
• Work with internal and external clients closely to complete and troubleshoot issues related to network changes
• Provide network discovery reports based on network platform access to clients for analysis
• Fulfill day to day operational changes based on the department SLO/SLA's
• Lead network availability incidents with customers as required, keeping them informed on incident progress and pending changes or outages
• Work closely with the team to collaborate and manage daily deliverables

QUALIFICATIONS

Extensive implementation/administration knowledge of network security platforms
• Expertise in Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama
• Expertise Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance and Cisco ASDM
• Expertise Infoblox (for IPAM, DNS & DHCP)
• Experience in troubleshooting and debugging network applications failures
• Preferred experience with network monitoring and automation with tools such as Tufin and SolarWinds.
• Strong analytical ability with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to read, write and understand documentation and procedures pertaining to the operation of networks, servers, and applications.
• Extensive understanding of network security technologies, their operation, and their limitations.
• Protocol Analysis, network performance analysis, network capacity planning, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience testing and implementing changes in a production environment.
