Sr Business Analyst, Enterprise Content Management
Sony Picture's Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Team is responsible for developing, creating, and maintaining the application portfolio that supports the company's document repositories, and the Corporate Imaging Program. We are looking for a Business Analyst (''Sr BA'') to join the team. The incumbent will be responsible for the client interactions for the Alfresco platform, including Alfresco Share, SPIDR as well as Kofax Capture for Imaging.
Primary responsibilities include client relationship management, application requirements gathering, project management, active engagement with the associated development teams to ensure strong delivery and support, as well as testing interaction. Specifically, the Sr BA will be driving the daily operations of the Alfresco Programs and will support the departmental strategic roadmap (near term and long term). The Sr BA will also lead the Imaging Program. The qualified candidate must be able to work independently with limited supervision but must also demonstrate strong team-oriented skills.
Responsibilities include the following:
• Collect, review, analyze, and manage system and user requirements from business users
• Work with the business and technical teams to clarify functional requirements
• Create user stories that detail functional and data business requirements, process flows, use cases, information needs, test scenarios, and obtain functional design specification approvals.
• Manage the UAT process by performing smoke testing, test case validation, and obtaining business approvals on UAT for scheduled deployments.
• Serve as a liaison to other teams in planning, coordination, development and deployment of multi-team enhancement or projects
• Ensure delivery of project and enhancement requirements meet the requirements defined by the business customer
• Accountable for ensuring training needs are met for new or existing applications
Priorities:
• Analyze/understand business requirements; map current Information Security policies and business processes to the new system or service, determine interface requirements
• Create detailed requirement stories and testing scenarios that can be used to develop internal design specifications for systems or services
• Work with the technical analysts to ensure that the delivered system functionality matches the specified requirements; ensure business satisfaction with IT services and products; understand and communicate user expectations
• Assist training users with new functionality developed
Day to Day activities:
• The Business Analyst will be responsible for creating user stories, managing enhancement requests, gathering requirements, producing project deliverables and UAT.
• The Business Analyst will need to be able to communicate with all levels of the organization ranging from other business analysts, developers, to senior executives.
• The Business Analyst must be flexible and available for evening standup calls with our offshore development team.
• The Business Analyst will provide initial support for user questions and issues.
Required Skills:
• Ability to facilitate business requirements and design review sessions with customers
• Experience with Agile (Sprints and Kanban board)
• Proficient in developing requirements definition, functional specifications, test scenarios/scripts data models and business procedures
• Strong understanding of Content Management and interfaces
• Strong process flow and diagramming skills (Visio application)
• Creation and delivery of training materials
• Exposure to managing the testing disciplines (use of Quality Center tool)
• Extremely organized with the ability to create and manage a task plan
• Understanding of Information Security concepts, product stacks and architecture
• Interpersonal skills; strong relationship management and negotiation skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills – verbal, written, listening and presentation
Required Experience:
• Experience with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) applications
• Experience gathering requirements for complex enhancements
• Understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) and project management fundamentals
• Experience with Agile and Kanban processes
• Process flow mapping, data conversion and interface design
• Basic understanding of the entertainment industry and the role that IT plays
