Sr. Analyst, Content and Distribution Services

The Content and Distribution Services (CDS) category focuses on the value chain of SPE's content ecosystem including mastering, localization, restoration, security, digital asset management systems, theatrical distribution, non-theatrical distribution, and Television Networks.

The Sr. Analyst of Content and Distribution Services Sourcing will support the Director and Category Managers of CDS by gathering, organizing, and analyzing data to identify opportunities for cost savings, support strategic sourcing opportunities, and support cost savings and process improvement initiatives across Sony Pictures Entertainment's (SPE's) business units.

This position will interface with multiple levels of leadership and contributors from various areas of the company including Legal, Finance, and People & Organization. The Sr. Analyst will report into the Director of Content and Distribution.

The ideal candidate is an independent self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills who is excited to define and expand their role and expertise and has sourcing experience in indirect spend categories.

Core Responsibilities
• Understand, analyze, and manipulate spend from SPE's various third-party spend and cost management systems to identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Gather market research/data and conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to support sourcing strategies and provide recommendations
• Profile suppliers and segment spend
• Perform total cost/supply analysis to identify opportunities to achieve optimal value.
• Analyze external/internal trends and conditions that affect stakeholders and suppliers and/or pricing
• Lead cost-benefit analyses for potential sourcing initiatives and provide appropriate guidance to the sourcing team
• Prepare clear, fact-based, executive-level presentations with sourcing strategy recommendations
• Communicate and report to management the status of any critical external relationships that could affect planning and decision-making
• Support Strategic Sourcing Initiatives related to Content and Distribution Services spend.
• Participate in cross-functional sourcing projects and RF(x) activities
• Analyze spend and opportunities for specific sourcing events and work with category managers to develop and execute sourcing plans
• Assist, as needed, with commodity and supplier negotiations
• Evaluate supplier fit based on pre-determined selection criteria
• Ensure compliance with Sourcing and Procurement policies and best practices
• Assist in the development and execution of supplier relationship and performance management programs that focus on quality, responsiveness, and cost
Other Responsibilities
• Develop and provide management reports as required
• Participate in professional development activities to keep abreast of current industry best practices
• Demonstrate exemplary integrity and ethics in all instances
• Support SPE's supplier diversity and strategic alliances program

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required in Business or other quantitative disciplines
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of analytical experience, preferably in one of the following fields: procurement, strategic sourcing, management consulting, finance, or supply chain
• Strong analytical skills required
• Must have strong Microsoft Office expertise, including advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Project skills
• Ability to interact with and establish relationships with employees at all levels
• Strong written and oral communication skills and excellent presentation skills
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment and work with senior management
• Internal customer focus – ability to identify/solicit key stakeholder requirements and develop solutions to address their needs
• Ability/desire to work in a diverse environment
• Ability to understand contracts, identify key terms, and make observations/recommendations preferred
• Positive attitude with a commitment to strive for personal happiness
• Experience in vendor negotiations is desirable
• End to end project management preferred
