Regional Ad Sales Director

The key purpose of this position is to oversee the development of Andean Market for SPT Portfolio (Colombia, Peru and Ecuador). In addition, the Ad Sales Director will oversee the Ad Sales Team in the Andean Territory which primary purpose will be to maintain and grow current business in the Andean Region while expanding client portfolio with a business-oriented managing.The Ad Sales Director is to work with the VP of the Ad Sales Company in the management of the ad sales team to maximize resources and efforts in order to meet the budgets and goals set forth by upper management. To do this and because all departments, processes and resources are intertwined together, the Ad Sales Director will be involved in all aspects of the company's local offices operations for the assigned territory. This will include meeting with clients, addressing staff issues and concerns, working with the Local Manager and AE on proposals, managing communications with the channels, tracking sales/pending business and providing positive feedback and support to the team.Advertising Sales. The Ad Sales Director works strategically with the VP of the Ad Sales organization to monitor all advertising sales and pending business. He/She also manages and serves as an advisor to the Andean Local Teams, including the Ad Sales Managers and Account Executives on all issues relating to the clients and agencies. The individual will be responsible for closing business, obtaining incremental sales, negotiating rates and terms, negotiating partner deals, promotional opportunities, problems and concerns, special business opportunities, proper servicing, and client satisfaction. The Ad Sales Director works to train Ad Sales Managers and Account Executives in the proper and efficient management of situations, making sound decisions and prioritizing works schedules. In addition, the Ad Sales Director works to ensure the Team to create the best and most efficient packages for the clients. Establishing Proper Communication with the Company and services. The Ad Sales Director needs to have an excellent relationship with the company's teams and their directives as well as other Sony divisions in the market assigned. Ensure that the company understand and are comfortable with the ad sales team's efforts and results, and that they are receiving constant and objective feedback from the sales department in order to improve operations. This includes constant communication on presentations, clients' issues, communication issues, missed or possible opportunities, more efficient ways of doing business, trends in the market, etc. Team Monitoring/Building. The Ad Sales Director is constantly paying attention and has a keen eye on the pulse of the team. Through objective and confidential support, the Ad Sales Director carefully monitors issues and concerns before or as they arise and become problems. Suggests different actions, develops and establishes processes and/or offers alternative points of view. Overall Company Supervision, Direction and Performance. In general, the Ad Sales Director is involved in all aspects of the business. Whether directly or indirectly through the VP, the Ad Sales Director is involved in all departments (research, marketing, traffic, creative services, etc.) to ensure that all of the elements are in place for the ''Ad Sales Machine'' to operate efficiently.

Desired Skills and Experience

6 to 10 years of experience in the media / entertainment industry in Commercial roles.

Knowledge of:
• Advertising media sales in TV and Digital.
• Marketplace conditions of Andean Region and Latin America.
• Key decision makers, influencers, and buyers.
• Advertising and media information.
• New content consumption trends by audience, research and Digital platforms.

Skill In:
• Managerial experience.
• Interpersonal communications especially strong oral skills, written skills are secondary.
• Both Spanish and English with Oral fluency and solid written capability.
• Business development; cold calling, presentation preparation and critic.
• Sharing of opportunities and proactively developing new proposals.
• Media analytical with understanding of quantitative and qualitative.

Ability To:
• Effectively sell, including the ability to both open doors and close agreements/deals.
• Lead and train subordinates to take on increasing responsibility.
• Create and maintain a positive working environment.
