Publicity Manager – The Dr. Oz Show

The Dr. Oz Show is looking for a Publicity Manager that will support the publicity department for The Dr. Oz Show and is responsible for the following tasks:
• Drive tune in publicity for daily episodes by identifying and publicizing components of the show – (geographic hometown of guest, celebrity, unique news angle, interesting topic)
• Draft press releases, show segment blasts and other show related collateral
• Be able to brief host and supervise media interviews including radio tours, print interviews and television/magazine interviews
• Support overall strategy of publicity program and use publicity skills to promote The Dr. Oz Show and Dr. Oz brand
• Develop and implement publicity campaigns for priority programming, themes, events, and initiatives
• Utilizes top-level PR skills to help fulfill strategic communications priorities and works with senior management to achieve brand messaging goals
• Ability to work with marketing, social media, and digital team to dictate content rollout
• Work in tandem with the entire producing team and staff on guests booked and scripts
• Pull quotes and clips from show materials to craft press pitches and blasts
• Pull photo and video assets for show guests
• Monitor press coverage and send out daily press clippings.
• Maintain master PR Dept calendar
• Draft and distribute tune-ins for press appearances.
• Accompany host to red carpets, speaking engagements and events
• Assist in media management at major events

Qualifications
• 3-6 years of publicity experience, preferably in the entertainment and social media space
• Strong media relationships and track record of press delivery
• Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
• Problem solver with sound judgment and the ability to be flexible, versatile, adapt quickly and work under pressure and changing priorities
• Available for media issues on a 24/7 basis, including mornings, nights and weekends
• Must be able to handle multiple projects at once
• Talent relations experience required
• Strong team player and communicator with internal and external executives and producers
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with multiple priorities and responsibilities simultaneously
• Craft key talking points; oversee internal and external messaging around projects
• Understands and promotes brand messaging in pitches/stories
• Oversee and upkeep media lists
• Knowledge of the following databases and tools encouraged and preferred: Dropbox, Muck Rack, Hightail, MS Office
