Manager, Worldwide Distribution Analytics

Sony Pictures Releasing

Sony Pictures Entertainment is seeking a talented and motivated individual to fill the position of Manager within Sony Pictures Releasing's Worldwide Distribution Analytics department. This department is part of the theatrical distribution home office team and is responsible for providing business intelligence and analytic support for global theatrical sales and distribution.

Responsibilities for the position include:
• collaborating with home office team and regional supervisors to recommend release box office levels by territory as part of the greenlight and sales planning processes;
• liaising with overseas offices to manage certain operational functions related to the global theatrical release of motion pictures;
• analyzing upcoming competitive product and market trends to recommend optimal release date corridors by market;
• supporting management decisions through recurring and ad hoc analysis;
• formulating market insights through examining datasets from Sony's various database systems;
• creating business models and developing strategy on new initiatives; and
• contributing to various special projects.

Qualifications and Skills:
• 4+ years of work experience in an analytic capacity, preferably at an entertainment company.
• MBA or graduate degree in a quantitative discipline strongly preferred. BA or BS required.
• Ability to interface with senior executives while maintaining professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools (i.e., Tableau) and databases a plus.
• Facility with Powerpoint a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Creativity and open-mindedness.
• Exceptionally well-organized and meets deadlines in a timely manner.
• Interest in and passion for movies.
• International exposure and foreign language proficiency a plus.
