Head of Enterprise Architecture

We are looking for a forward-thinking technologist that can accelerate our strategic focus areas such as building stronger foundational technology capabilities, reducing complexity, employing digital transformation concepts, and leveraging disruptive technology.

The head of Enterprise Architecture will lead the creation and evolution of the Enterprise Architecture practice at Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE). As the leader of Enterprise Architecture at SPE, you will effectively and efficiently collaborate with business and technology users to:
• Drive continual improvement of business & technology capabilities that will enable SPE to achieve its goals through strategy formation, roadmap planning, design, and implementation at enterprise scale
• Develop and maintain an Enterprise-wide Architecture that aligns business strategic goals with current and future IT capabilities, processes, and technologies
• Formalize an Architecture Structure for the Enterprise with roles, accountability and responsibilities and governance
• Lead the Standardizing and Governing of business & technology policy, processes, and architecture to enable enterprise-wide common business solutions
• Establish formalized communication channels, knowledge management practices, centralized document repositories, and Enterprise Architecture engagement model
• Enhance decision-making processes through establishing detailed measurement systems, Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) with timely feedback loops and designating accountable parties

How you will impact SPE:
• Will lead the Enterprise Architecture group that will be responsible for overall enterprise/strategic architecture, such as, Platform Roadmap, Services Roadmap, Cloud Roadmap, and Technology selections
• Build the Enterprise Architecture team to help the organization in:
• Building reference architecture and re-usable patterns
• Development of technology governance process
• Reduce technical complexity
• Application rationalization
• Technology rationalization and risk management
• Cloud transformation
• Journey to Data as a Product
• Evolution and next steps of Digital Media life cycle
• Provide in-depth technical consultation to IT executives and senior management to ensure system architecture aligns with the enterprise strategic direction
• Lead and mentor solution architects, engineers, managers and business teams and individuals
• Plan and maintain a multi-year Business and Technology Roadmap
• Guide Domain and Solution Architects to experiment with improvements to established architectures
• Introduce and own a governance process to create, approve and communicate the technology strategy
• Assess alignment and compliance with published policy and standard architecture patterns
• Provides continuous consulting services and direction on projects
• Champions and responsible for business architectural standards, guidelines, principles, frameworks, and reference models
• As a key member of the IT team, the candidate must be comfortable with driving technical ideas and communicating clearly with technical as well as non-technical audiences

What you need to succeed:
• Bachelors or master's in computer science or related degree from an accredited university
• 15+ years of experience in Information Technology
• 5+ years of experience in an Enterprise Architecture role
• 2+ years of experience leading an Enterprise Architecture function for an IT organization
• Experience in developing and leading EA teams along with experience and ability to influence at all levels
• Knowledge of enterprise and application design patterns
• Experience with IaaS, PaaS, and Cloud Services such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Understanding and experience with container-based architectures
• Understanding of architecture governance and solution design management processes
• Understanding of security management, governance, and risk
• Strong collaboration and coaching skills
• Experience of working in an Agile development environment
• Broad technical knowledge, and ability to quickly assimilate new skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral with the ability to translate technical expressions into easy to understand and clear language
• Experience with one of the major Architecture Framework such as Zachman or TOGAF
• Ability to positively influence others without direct authority towards a common purpose
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
• Ability to work efficiently within a matrix management organization
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with executive leadership, IT, and business teams throughout organization
• Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
