Director, Information Security Operations

The SecOps Director is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations and management of SPE's security technology and data analytics team. The position works closely with INFOSEC and Information Technology to ensure the correct and efficient operation of security technologies. The incumbent possesses a deep and diverse technical background in a variety of tools, platforms, and services. This position is responsible for managing multiple staff members both onsite as well as offsite and in other countries. Excellent people and time management skills are critical to success in the position. The Director is responsible for working closely with the Incident Response and Vulnerability management teams to close identified gaps and vulnerabilities. Additionally, this position works with information security peers to identify and make recommendations to the VP, Infosec to improve the security stance and incident response capabilities of the organization.

Reporting to the InfoSec Vice President, the Security Operations Director is responsible for managing SPE's information security technology, security operations staff and vendor management.

Core Responsibilities
• Manage SPE security Operations & Data Analytics Team
• Work closely with Information Technology staff and coordinate changes and enhancements to the SPE security technology
• Manage vendor relationships
• Design, document, and implement processes, procedures, guidelines, solutions, and reporting.
• Provide expert level technical cyber security advice SPE leadership
• Work closely with INFOSEC team to evaluate new technologies

Job Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Security or equivalent major
• 10+ years Information Security experience or 10+ years Information Technology with Information Security focus experience
• CISSP/CISM Certification
• Experience mentoring and developing staff
• Experience managing large offshore teams
• Moderate to advanced experience working with and/or managing MOST of the following technologies:
• Endpoint Security (AV, Firewall, HIPS, etc)
• File Integrity Monitoring
• Advanced Endpoint Protection
• Advanced Network Protection
• Application Whitelisting
• CIS Benchmarking
• Automated Malware Analysis (sandboxing)
• Web Filtering (URL and Content)
• Network IDS/IPS
• Next Generation Firewalls
• Network and Endpoint DLP
• Packet Capture Systems
• SIEMs and Data correlation
• Anti-exploitation and host hardening
• Spam and Email Filtering
• Vulnerability scanners
• Web Application Firewalls
• Database protection tools
• Identity and Privileged Account Management
• Data loss prevention
• SIEM
• Data Analysis
• Big Data platforms and Data Analytic Techniques
• Exposure to hacker methodologies, tools and techniques
• Experience in Windows, AIX, Solaris, Mac OSX, Linux
• Networking protocols and technologies
