Job Description
Director, Global Creative Advertising

The Director of Global Creative Advertising leads all creative advertising processes for Sony Pictures Home Entertainment including the production of all AV materials, such as trailers, TV spots, online/digital spots, and radio spots. This role is also responsible for all print materials, including physical and digital key art, packaging, store display, signage, and digital merchandising. This position also oversees print and AV finishing and delivery, to approve materials for layout, color, proofing, mechanicals, video picture, audio mix and mastering. This role supports the EVP of Global Creative Advertising and manages external vendors to ensure execution and timely delivery of all projects.

The Director of Global Creative Advertising requires significant flexibility and focus to independently manage the development of print and AV campaign assets, at various stages of the creative process, across multiple titles/projects. This role will be a proactive participant in the overall marketing organization, working with multiple functional teams, making quick and confident creative decisions, interpreting data, research and competitive.

Core Responsibilities:

Creative AV –
• Oversees the development, scheduling, and production of AV advertising campaigns from inception to delivery, including trailers, TV spots, paid digital/social spots, radio spots, in-store trailers, and sizzle reels
• Determines campaign scope, creative needs, and timing
• Leads creative process with external agencies, conceptualizes and communicates creative direction and strategy
• Sources and compiles editorial assets to kick off and set up production, ensuring security
• Executes all clearances with Music, Legal, MPA, networks and filmmakers
• Presents creative in review meetings and attains all internal approvals among studio executives and stakeholders
• Oversees creative layout and execution of static and motion graphics as required for AV assets, based on media plans and flight schedules
• Approves trailering and broadcast finishes for picture, color, audio mix and QC
• Assigns and manages budgets for end-to-end process, including creative editorial, graphics production, voice-over, music, and finishing
• Tracks media deadlines to ensure timely delivery and accuracy to technical spec of all broadcast and digital creative
• Collaboratively works with functional operations and marketing teams including Post, Mastering, Brand, Digital, Content, Publicity and Finishing

Creative Print –
• Oversees creative production for print advertising campaigns from inception to delivery, including key art for digital and physical distribution, packaging, specialty items, one-sheets, corrugate, store display and digital merchandising
• Leads creative process with external agencies, communicating creative direction, and trafficking creative assets to and from agencies
• Supervises art development, revisions, and copy
• Executes all clearances with Legal, MPA, filmmakers and talent
• Attains all internal approvals among studio executives and stakeholders
• Approves color, retouching, proofing and print mechanicals
• Oversees delivery, localized execution, and adaptation of downstream assets
• Assigns and manages creative and finishing budgets
• Collaboratively works with functional marketing teams including Brand, Content, Publicity, Retail, Programming and Operations

Education & Training Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree required

Specialty - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Knowledge of:
• Adobe Creative Suite, MacOS, Microsoft Office
• Deep knowledge of marketing campaigns, creative process, and timelines
• Technical knowledge of pre/post-production and audio-visual production processes, including offline and online editorial, graphics production, mixing sessions, digital film production
• Strong technical knowledge of AV formats in broadcast and digital video, audio, and digital cinema
• Understanding of video codecs and transcodes for applicable environments
