Director, Content Operations, Sales Planning
The Director will work with the SVP of Sales Planning and Operations to operationalize all SPE existing and prospective commercial deals with global clients focused on new technologies & formats. This person will lead the Content Delivery Group within the newly formed Business Operations team and work closely with the New Media Distribution team to drive processes and lead strategic initiatives with cross-functional and regional teams (e.g., Finance, Legal and Digital Operations) to ensure all internal and external content operations are being met. Key operational areas include, but are not limited to, content management, , budgets, and modifications to these areas as new features to the digital platform are developed.
This role will introduce complex new business models forcing change to existing processes and requires an individual with strong leadership skills along with the finesse and diplomacy required to officiate such change. They must have strong communication/presentation skills and be able to lead strategic initiatives with cross-functional and regional teams to achieve desired results. Experience leading process management and change in a media company is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Content In/Out Strategy and Processes
• Drive best practices for direct reports to manage end-to-end processes of asset delivery from internal parties through platform/storefront delivery.
• Manage cross-functional and third-party relationships and respond to or initiate escalations from direct reports.
• Drive EST/VOD/SVOD content delivery initiatives for global clients and lead cross-functional strategic projects with Sales, Content Operations and Finance teams.
• Oversee all reporting requirements pertaining to product availing on the platform (e.g., asset delivery, budget, EMA Avails, etc.).
- Sales Planning Avails Management
• Manage global quarterly SVOD title availability process by managing the end-to-end timeline and driving all sales planning activities including title avails, system updates, and field clearance.
• Lead cross-functional divisions, including Finance, CMDG and IT, to streamline the end-to-end SVOD process.
• Liase with Global Sales Planning team to manage issues as they pertain to title availability, fee allocation, technical accounting, and participations rules.
- Special Projects
• Lead operational processes and standardization for all new features released on the Platform that have programming requirements (e.g., DiscoverTV).
• Manage new and existing self-programming platforms (e.g., Amazon PVD) as it pertains to title selection, asset delivery, fee allocation and Sales Planning field clearance.
• Identify opportunities to integrate Global Sales Planning asset delivery processes across New Digital Media and Global Deals.
