Coordinator, Media & Talent Relations (SPT)
The coordinator will support members of the media & talent relations team for the Sony Pictures TV Studio. The role is a combination of administrative support and functional support, making the role an ideal opportunity for someone interested in PR/talent relations.
Responsibilities:
• Provide organizational and administrative support to the Media & Talent Relations team
• Heavy administrative work – phones & scheduling, calendar & contact management
• Coordinate travel, submit and track expense reports, invoices
• Compose Talent schedules and execute any other logistics for junkets, press events, premieres, award shows, set visits, press days, and other PR specifics; attend events in person to provide support as needed
• Track publicity items in magazines, editorials, trades, etc.
• Set up and cover phone interviews for talent and producers
• Develop relationships with press
• Collaborate with publicists on campaign strategy
• Work closely with assistants/coordinators across the company
• Work on other projects as needed
• Track details for award shows including, but not limited to, submissions, nominations, ceremonies
• Manage all awards invoices and maintain Emmy budget
Requirements:
• In-depth knowledge of television/entertainment industry
• Discretion and integrity
• Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, FileMaker Pro, Internet savvy)
• Attention to detail and accuracy, strong prioritization skills
• Strong written (spelling, punctuation, grammar) and verbal skills (professional and friendly demeanor)
• Superb organizational and time management skills; proactive and thorough; takes responsibility and ownership for tasks
• Can work independently to achieve goals and has a positive attitude
• Able to multi-task and work well with others
• At ease in fast-paced, high-energy, ever-changing work environment with tight deadlines
• Industry experience a plus
• B.A./B.S., or equivalent experience preferred
