Assistant Accounting Manager

The Assistant Accounting Manager is responsible for supporting the accounting operations of Worldwide TV Distribution; This position plays an integral role in the recording of all Retransmission Revenue transaction; in the preparation of various audit schedules (revenue accruals, balance sheet accruals, and balance sheet movement files); and the review and validation of Cap Gemini prepared Balance Sheet roll forward schedules and Bank reconciliations. Plus, in ad hoc tasks including the monitoring of various Balance Sheet clearing accounts and performing analysis and clearing of open items for assigned OIM GL accounts including intercompany.

Responsibilities:

P&L Revenue:
• Retransmission Contracts (S2F)

a) Initial set up of retransmission contracts in S2F

b) Create S2F release package upon cash receipt

c) Upload title allocation in S2F when available

d) Monitor Retransmission C2C balances to ensure all cash receipts have been captured and reported by OTC to SPE Collections Society. This same schedule is also used to determine monthly accruals and utilized in following up on any old retransmission payment with no allocation.

In this capacity, the Assistant Manager collaborates with the SPE Collections Society, S2F IT, OTC preparer and approver, and the RTR approver (Manager).
• Prepare monthly reports capturing all non-C2C generated revenue transactions for both International and Domestic. This includes the determination of important items like customer number, contract number, and activity type. This task supports the RTR group in the completion of the VP's revenue file and as a validation in the identification of revenue reconciling items.
• Assist in the preparation of Producer Share and Service Fee roll forward reports during the busy month end close period.
• Allocate Mediamorph costs to titles.

Balance Sheet:
• Prepare, validate, and analyze Balance Sheet accruals support files for all C2C related accounts – These are used to link to the reconciliation report for VP review and audit submission. These are also used for the Balance Sheet movement schedules.
• Prepare, validate, and analyze Balance Sheet movement schedules for all C2C related accounts - These schedules are utilized to help with movement explanations. Required for each month and each quarter, and if requested, year to date. These require VP review and approval and submitted for audit.
• Monitor, analyze, and clear all C2C Balance Sheet accounts. Most of the items in these accounts are related to misdirected cash and affects the month end post close cash schedules. This requires collaboration with the OTC group and other LOB's RTR group.
• Prepare, validate, and analyze the report for each month's Domestic Net down entry. Collaborate with RTR group and VP in ensuring that the report is accurate.
• Prepare, validate, and analyze each calendar month's final Domestic aging. If necessary the Assistant Manager will propose a journal entry.
• Prepare, validate, and analyze consolidated SGTS balances and record monthly true up as needed. This requires access to the SGTS Metro System and collaboration with Corporate and the Treasury team.
• Complete the Chart reconciliation file required by the OTC group. This entails reconciliation of the C2C Fiscal close aging report vs C2C Calendar close aging report. This also validates that the main difference is post close cash. Research is performed for other types of differences.
• Reviews the C2C aging report for any Unauthorized Prebills. If any, the Assistant Manager will perform an analysis and propose a journal entry.
• Reviews the C2C Unbilled report to ensure all billings within the period have been billed. Any anomalies found are researched and a journal entry is prepared if necessary. This requires collaboration with OTC, RTR group and C2C IT.

Ad hoc Tasks:
• Responsible for ensuring that all OIM balance sheet accounts are cleared timely.
• Responsible for ensuring that all Intercompany open items are cleared timely.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of Accounting and Finance experience
• Experience with Enterprise planning systems (eg. SAP, Hyperion, etc.)
• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting; CPA preferred
• Excellent communication skills especially with non-Finance individuals
• Advanced Excel skills (eg. index/match, data tables, etc.)
• Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects
• Knowledge of business intelligence tools (eg. SAP BW, Power BI, Tableau, Essbase, etc.)
