The Analyst will be part of a team that supports Sony Picture's Distribution & Content Services group. In this role, the analyst will be a key part of the digital supply chain. The Analyst will help get vendors paid that support Sony from camera to customer. The Analyst will also run reports to support the entire DCS group.

Responsibilities:
• Communicating with vendors to ensure that invoices are accurate and compliant with company guidelines. Matching purchase orders to invoices to ensure that all transactions are recorded correctly. Communicating with SPE employees to ensure the accuracy of purchase orders.
• Create and run reports for data analytics. Intermediate knowledge of general financial terms and reporting packages that include Business Objects and Tableau is highly desired as well as being able to use Excel. Ability to create ad-hoc reports in a reporting universe is key.
• Maintain and update SharePoint knowledge center for DCS. Gather and manage the specifications, training materials and process documentation in a central, easy to navigate location.
• Verify and audit post production vendor invoice billing and company purchase orders accuracy. This is for approval of daily ranging from $100K to $200K daily.
• Resolving various vendor discrepancies, which includes pricing and discrepancies.
• Handle basic communications with vendors, technical, and finance staffs - including resolution of purchase order, status of invoices, clarification of payments, and negotiating
• Receive monthly aging of SPE accounts from vendors, for reconciliation to keep accounts to a current status.
• Assist approximately 100 company technical buyers worldwide to stay within their annual budget by resolving purchase order, procurement, and vendor billing discrepancies
• Handle both domestic & international vendor accounts in US, South America, Europe, & Asia.
• Provide accurate financial and GL coding for the various SPE financial personnel, to ensure that all products are allocated to their correct budgets
• Provide support for special projects, as needed
• Provide and collect tax forms from new vendors to assist in a new vendor set up
• Provide management any needed paperwork or research information pertaining to contractual rates and new billing protocols

Requirements:
• 2+ years of practical finance, or payables disbursement experience in accounting (including general ledger process and financial accounting/payables systems)
• Associates degree
• Basic knowledge of tax laws and guidelines (sales tax issues, resale certificate rules, etc.)
• Understanding of the components and processes of the post-production business is a plus
• Digital media transformation and delivery
• Advanced Excel, Business Objects, Tableau, SharePoint, Media Transformation/Delivery, Purchase Order Management
