Role

This role is based in the Finance team, working daily with colleagues in Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing, and forms a key part in the strategic decisions taken by the business to maximize the success of both physical video and transactional digital markets. With varied and interesting day to day tasks, this role has fantastic development opportunities as part of a high-performing team.

Commercial Planning and Reporting
• Maintaining models with latest weekly performance data, understanding the way the data is trending and re-forecasting accordingly
• Providing data for New Release and Catalogue forecast models
• Identifying key comparable titles by market, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders (Commercial, Marketing), to predict future release performance
• Populating review templates to allow management to assess data in a common format across territories.

Supporting HE Commercial Finance
• Supporting title-specific scenario planning to maximise GP return, considering potential movements in box office, release date, SKU configuration and release windows.
• Support the evaluation of title-specific release strategies (release date, windows, SKU configuration)
• Supporting assessment of potential third party content acquisitions, providing data and analysis to calculate potential Sony return.
• Supporting various business functions in ad-hoc analysis.
• Provide data for the review of SKU performance and range rationalisation recommendations
• Populate templates to help determine manufacturing and shipment volumes for New Releases

Control & Monthly Financial Period Close
• Supporting regular reconciliation of commercial models to financial actuals and updates to planning assumptions.
• Update the returns model to aid the month end process

Team Contributions
• Support Finance colleagues on a wide range of other processes and projects
• Assist with team admin including producing PowerPoint presentations

Education, Years of Experience, Specialized Knowledge or Skills Required:

Knowledge:
• Strong history of working with numbers – through education or employment
• Has worked in Home Entertainment in some capacity previously
• Studio experience an added bonus; having worked in (or with) TV Distribution also beneficial

Skills:
• A high standard in influencing and interpersonal skills, to build and develop strong cross-functional relationships
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Accurate forecasting and modelling skills
• Needs to be able to demonstrate high degree of logic and method to work
• Must have strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Experience with Tableau desirable
• Fluent in English
