Job Description

As VP, A&R, Soundtracks you will play a pivotal role in expanding our artists music in films and TV shows, by overseeing identification, negotiation, marketing and release of soundtracks from film studios, television studios and streaming platforms.

We are seeking an experienced A&R executive to identify and sign a diverse array of soundtrack projects in collaboration with frontline labels within the Sony Music label group.

This is a unique opportunity to work with Sony Music's global artist roster and impact the creative musical direction on the most watched films and TV shows in the world.

What you'll do:
• Outreach with film studios, production companies, music supervisors, industry contacts and internal Sync teams to identify and secure film/tv soundtracks and custom end titles.
• Liaise with frontline Sony Music labels to support soundtrack and end-title negotiations, creative A&R, new music creation and support worldwide rollout and execution of project.
• Ensure soundtrack and custom music opportunities are shared and assessed across all SME labels, utilizing A&R tools, data/analytics and key industry relationships.
• Work closely with wider Premium Content Group to support soundtrack projects accompanying Sony Music artist films and documentaries.

Who you are:
• ...
• 10+ years experience in Film & TV soundtracks, A&R, and/or music supervision.
• Leadership experience managing creative teams.
• Established relationships with key executives inside film studios and streaming platforms, as well as music supervisors and publishers.
• Relationship builder and exceptional stakeholder engagement skillset.
• Extensive knowledge of music and film industry, soundtracks in particular.
• Must be an avid music fan across all genres.
• Able to combine data, analytics, creative, to determine effective strategy to grow the business.
• Capacity to balance between execution and strategy.
• Creative self-starter with high EQ and executive function in a pressurized environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills - able to communicate with all levels of global management- internal and external.
• Excellent presentation skills and negotiation abilities.
