Job Description

As Sr Analyst, Label Analytics, you will play a key role within the commercial team for the Legacy label supporting the Assoc Director, Label Analytics in utilizing data to influence strategic decision making across all aspects of the business including sales, marketing and finance. Your role will be involved in assessing the performance of sales and marketing campaigns, developing new reports, dashboards and methodologies, performing regular reporting duties, satisfying ad hoc requests, and supporting the data needs of the label. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the data journey at a catalog label that comprises some of the most important recordings in history.

What you'll do:
• Utilize internal and external business intelligence and data analytics tools to create new reports, dashboards, processes, and methodologies to assess the performance of the Legacy catalog and uncover actionable insights
• Own the execution, maintenance and enhancements of recurring reports, processes, and dashboards that provide streaming, playlist, sales and market share information for our Legacy label
• Fulfill ad hoc data requests to answer business critical questions on artists, albums, tracks, and playlists, among many others
• Assess the performance of sales and marketing campaigns by investigating streaming trends and consumer reaction data to help inform decisions
• Monitor label and competitive market share shifts, understand driving forces behind changes, and identify opportunities to grow share and revenues
• Collaborate with label sales and finance teams to project forecast goals and understand how different factors impact the financial and market share picture
• Assist in deep dive research to understand the latest trends across the music industry, competitors, digital streaming partners, and consumer behavior and share those insights in regular updates to the business

Who you are:
• 1-3 years of experience working with data
• Advanced knowledge of all primary MS Office software and advanced Excel skills
• Experience using business intelligence tools to extract, visualize and analyze data, including working with relational databases and writing SQL
• Able to draw conclusions from data and propose effective solutions
• An excellent communicator and enthusiastic collaborator who works well with team members, internal partners, and senior management
