Job Description
The Digital Advertising Manager will be responsible for leading advertising strategy and managing digital advertising projects for Sony's catalog artists.

What you'll do:
• Partner & collaborate closely with marketing, audience development & social media teams at Legacy, to develop and execute robust digital advertising strategies and campaigns for catalog artists: hands on planning, buying and management of search, display, programmatic and mobile ad buys
• Collaborate with Track Marketing team to test and develop new advertising strategies for reactive marketing around viral moments, to influence incremental catalog streaming consumption, fan acquisition and engagement
• Manage reporting and analytics to optimize advertising campaigns in real-time, measure effectiveness across targets, objective and ad types, distilling complicated technical information into high-level, simple, action-oriented recommendations
• Work alongside Audience Development team to develop fan acquisition growth strategies and best practices across pixel implementation, event tracking, LinkFire etc., leveraging first party data for retargeting campaigns
• Provide weekly/bi-weekly or monthly campaign reports working with product managers and data teams to correlate ad spend/activity with consumption
• Work closely with Audience Development / Social teams to ensure consistent and complementary activity across paid and organic channels
• Collaborate with the catalog marketing and content teams on the development of dynamic and engaging advertising content that aligns with individual ad objectives
• Keep ongoing tracker of ad spend and high-level result segmentation (by partner, by retailer, by artist, by genre, by media platform, by ad tactic/format etc.)
• Work alongside central ads team to test, assess and update advertising best practices and develop ad trend and insight reports to share and present to wider team,
• Meet with various media platforms, ad tech companies and publishers to identify new opportunities to reach audiences through new technology, strategic partnerships, digital advertising, etc.

Who you are:
• 3-5 years of experience in media planning/buying, data analytics/reporting and social media advertising; music industry experience a plus, but familiarity with core digital music services required
• Proficiency in social ad platform/campaign set-up including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google Ad Words/Google Display Network, Snapchat, Twitter and various Programmatic/Demand-Side-Platforms
• Working knowledge of various ad tech from planning tools to ad management software, ad-serving platforms and reporting systems
• Expertise in real-time advertising optimization (synthesis of successes, failures, best practices)
• Strong understanding of and passion for music and associated social content strategies, artist mindset, aesthetics and tone
• Ability to gain rapid working knowledge of new databases, ad tools and campaign management systems
• Collaborative nature with experience in managing a wide spectrum of personalities across colleagues, labels, managers and artists
• Intuitive understanding of advertising reporting tools and the ability to develop tailored reporting across campaigns
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, communication, and time management skills as well as the ability to prioritize, multitask, and focus while working under demanding timelines
• Must be curious, adaptable to and accepting of abrupt change and unforeseen challenges
