Job Description
The role of the junior analyst is to perform analysis and administrative duties in support of the Audit Department's objectives.
What you'll do:
• Prepare responses/documents with respect to auditor fieldwork information requests
• Participate in various research projects related to audits and litigation.
• Validate auditor's excel-based claim schedules.
• Assist management in the quarterly financial processes as needed.
• Assist with special projects on an as-needed basis.
Who you are:
• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, or Music Business. MBA a plus
• 1-2 years of related work experience, preferably in the audit or royalty accounting spaces.
• Must have demonstrated background of working on complex spreadsheets and large datasets in Excel.
• Access, SQL or other experience related to manipulating/slicing big data is a plus.
• Hands on experience with SAP or other financial systems desired.
• The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Advanced data management Excel skills (including v-lookup, formulas) required.
• Demonstrate the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects/ tasks simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills with an eye for spotting anomalies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Self-starter, with the ability to work independently and in teams.
• Ability to meet deadlines quickly and accurately.
• Track record demonstrating capability to multi-task and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
• Must have a curious nature and strong ability to learn quickly and apply new concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills is required.
