As a Coordinator, Client Services, you will be supporting the daily operations of the Royalty Department within the Global Finance Shared Service organization. In this dynamic role, you will be the initial point of contact for our clients, assessing their service needs and coordinating with various departments within SME to ensure that all inquiries and requests are completed in a timely manner. The collaborative & diverse nature of this role provides a unique learning opportunity for someone looking to gain experience and knowledge of the music business.
What you'll do:
• Validate and vet documentation provided for all 3rd party address & payee change requests by consulting with Royalty Operations, Copyright, Tax Dept., and Label BA. Also review Wire requests for Tax Compliance and appropriate coding in system
• Facilitate review of vendor changes by identifying potential issues, summarizing royalty data involved, and presenting the information to the proper internal stakeholders for approval.
• Utilize the JIRA ticketing system to communicate & manage vendor change inquiries to closure
• Ensure withholding tax coding on vendor master is accurate and in compliance with tax law. Work with participants when they have questions regarding Tax forms and Year end Tax documents
• Assist in workflow design improvements focused on enhancing quality and efficiency of work
Who you are:
• You have an Associates or Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business Administration with 1-2 years of related work experience
• You have a strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word, & Outlook and possibly some experience with an issue tracking system like JIRA
• A well organized, detail oriented professional with ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet deadlines
• You possess strong interpersonal communication skills, and an ability to work collaboratively with various Sony Music teams
• You are a critical thinker with excellent problem solving skills

• The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $40k to $45k. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job
