Job Description
Sony Music is seeking a Business Analyst, with a strong background in Data and Management, to join our US Data + Analytics team. The role will be reporting to the Product Manager for providing analytics, documenting requirements & project support with the below focus:

What you'll do:
• Collaborate with the business and tech team to develop strategies for delivering analytics projects, ensuring that projects are delivered on-time, within the scope
• Work closely with the upper management to analyze, strategize, and document requirements for developing data pipelines and/or product features
• Assist in creating compelling analytics projects and presentations providing actionable insights paired with recommendations
• Develop dashboards and frameworks to monitor business and product performance
• Communicate and share information effectively with team members, executives, and fellow Business Analyst during Sprint ceremonies
• Act as a liaison between different Business Units and Data Analytics team to compile updates & insights on new data sources, features and products

Who you are:
• A minimum 1-2 years' experience in analytics, BI, data insights, marketing, and strategy, preferably within the music and/or distribution industry
• Technical skills in data management (preferred) - SQL, Python, Scala
• Good understanding of Cloud computing platforms – AWS, GCP, Snowflake and Databricks
• Knowledge of working with webAPI's (REST/GraphQL)
• Self-starter and strategic project management master with tenacity to experiment to create opportunities and solve problems
• Interest in the music industry and the numbers behind music consumption
• Knowledge of and passion for music, and the ability to identify trends and an awareness of what's popular today and its place in pop culture
• Clear and consistent communicator with strong Excel, Keynote & PowerPoint skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
