The Digital Systems Group at Sony Music Entertainment is driving the development of technical systems and business processes to support the rapid changes and new opportunities in the music industry. These include both the digital distribution of music and the use of digital asset management to improve internal processes. The group works with key segments of new and traditional business units globally to set the strategic vision for the initiatives and provides project management, business impact and process analysis and implementation planning to the business units in their execution.

The Associate Director will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Delivery project, including all timelines, deliverables, and coordination with other development teams. The project is a crucial cog in the digital supply chain and require that Sony Music Entertainment retains compliance with all digital partners and is prepared to deploy any/all updates before they are needed so there is no impact to the business.

In addition to management of the Delivery project, the role will also require the candidate to develop and drive multiple strategic initiatives to move Sony Music Global Technology forward. This includes training other BA's on new technologies to increase overall team capabilities and also identifying areas of need within the organization and developing long-term solutions.

What you'll do:
• Delivery project management
• Lead a team of 4-6 developers on the Delivery project
• Develop, document, and deploy latest updates to the DDEX delivery spec
• Develop and coordinate updated ECHO delivery updates and coordinate integration with digital partners
• Deploy updated user interface and coordinate user acceptance with SCOPS and GDB teams
• Train an additional BA to allow them to take on Delivery day-to-day responsibilities
• Technical Cross-Training
• Develop a training regimen for BA team focusing on technical areas
• Training should be focused on areas of need based on feedback from the BA team
• There should be follow-up after training to determine success and process forward
• Strategic initiatives
• Propose high-level strategic plans to optimize existing process
• Identify areas to replace current practices to make them more efficient

Who you are:
• Bachelor's degree
• 10+ years of work experience -- prior experience in music/media industries preferred
• 3+ years experience managing projects and teams
• Experience using Agile methodology (writing user stories, managing scrum calls, prioritizing backlog, etc.)
• Experience with cloud technology- experience migrating applications to cloud environment preferred
• Experience with test planning and writing use cases
• Prior experience in music/media industries and consulting highly preferred
• Must be able take initiative, drive project goals and objectives, and lead others along the way
• Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Proven planning and organizational skills
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Proven creativity and ability to effectively solve problems in a complex, fast-paced environment
• Detail-orientated and proven record of completing tasks and work responsibilities on a timely basis
• Ability to summarize verbal communication and discussions into relevant written materials and documentation
• Ability to effectively present information, interact with, and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees and vendors
• Ability to work effectively as an active participant/contributor on multiple concurrent teams/projects

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $115k to $125k. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
