Job Description

As an Accountant at Provident Entertainment, you will play a key role in supporting the team to help our artists deliver music to their fans. Your role will perform various accounting and financial functions in support of the company's overall goals. Success in this role will be dependent on a passion for learning, ability to see the ''big picture'' while being meticulous about the detail, and a solid combination of technical and relationship skills. Position requires frequent interaction with members of senior management and other internal and external contacts.

What you'll do:
• Prepare and record complex journal entries related to operations and monthly close
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and research/correct discrepancies
• Support business operations by providing solutions related to travel, expense reporting, accounts payable, and budgets
• Analyze current operating procedures and recommend changes
• Manage vendors and payment requests, assist with budget and forecasting, prepare and reconcile ad-hoc financial statements and other reports, as needed

Who you are:
• At least two years of experience, and a degree in finance or accounting
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of commonly-used accounting concepts and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with SAP, or similar accounting software
• Strong organizational skills, and ability to multitask, problem solve and prioritize
• Excellent communication and relational skills, to support other departments
• Working knowledge of the Christian/Gospel music industry
