Senior Video Editor

Sony Bend Studio, renowned creator of Days Gone, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, and Syphon Filter, is seeking outstanding talent to join our passionate and creative family in crafting our next high-profile AAA console title.

We are seeking a Senior Video Editor who will contribute to the design and development of AAA products with a specialized focus on creation and execution of trailer videos used for internal and external deliverables in collaboration with Production, Marketing and PR teams. Creation and execution includes gaining regular familiarity with the product including performing regular play throughs and developing libraries of video content.

Responsibilities:
• Creatively navigate and collaborate with Marketing, PR asset creation and delivery.
• Take direction and able to work closely with the Creative Director where vision and messaging needs for the Trailer are defined.
• Work collaboratively and effectively with the production team directors and leads and have a strong voice in helping define the priorities between what is needed for production of the game and what is needed for effective trailer creation. This ranges from engineering feature requests to focus on gameplay implementation and polish of assets.
• Manage the production of video assets, working with Marketing, Creative and outside vendors.
• Work collaboratively with a Social Media and Community Manager to drive the external promotion and messaging for the Studio and Product.

Requirements/Education:
• Strong technical background to create and edit the shots with game development tools.
• Strong game production sensibilities.
• Previous or current-gen video game platform experience is desirable (e.g., PS3/PS4, Xbox 360/Xbox One, etc.)
• 5+ years of experience in game development, having shipped one or more titles.
• One or two years of post-high school education or training.
