Job Description
Why PlayStation?

We are seeking a well-rounded, motivated and hardworking person to join the Financial Management Application (FMA) team at Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE). As part of the FMA team, you will be responsible for leading finance projects within FMA as well as representing financial requirements in Network Platform (NP) and Corporate IT development efforts.

The person in this role will work with Finance personnel in the Americas, Asia and Europe to analyze current financial processes for local improvement and global alignment. The successful candidate will also collaborate closely with FMA Engineers to interpret and understand detailed financial requirements for new projects, change requests to existing processes, and closely monitor results and timelines.

This role is highly detail oriented while maintaining a view of the big picture, and requires a solid grasp of e-commerce operations and a good understanding of basic accounting principles. Are you up for the challenge?

Responsibilities
• Act as point of contact between in between NP, IT, FMA and Finance to ensure financial requirements are considered in new functionalities planning
• Analyze AS-IS financial processes and thoroughly document TO-BE requirements
• Negotiate project scope and timeline with partners and developers.
• Validate test data and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions
• Create and maintain internal KB documentations with an attention to detail.
• Provide support to finance users on production issues

Qualifications
• General understanding of accounting and financial reporting; discernment
• Proven track record in a business or systems analyst role with significant experience in large, sophisticated multi-regional, multi-functional business transformation and systems implementation projects
• Ability to work optimally and professionally with multi-functional groups across divisions, worldwide, and within department
• Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and documentation skills
• Proven analytical skills to identify and tackle problems. Capable of analyzing and evaluating requirements and making solution recommendation
• Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
• An understanding of databases and can write basics SQL queries to determine relationship of data within systems
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills including the ability to articulate requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences
• BS/BA Degree or equivalent required
• Japanese language skills helpful
