Location: San Diego Studio

We seek a Data Analyst to provide insights and analysis of gameplay and user behavior. Here, you will work in our cross-disciplinary team to conduct in depth analyses, query data, build dashboards, and tell compelling stories to help our game development teams to make informed decisions and improve player experiences. You will have the ability to create data driven narratives that will be used to grow our studio culture. If this is you, you need to come and play with us here at Sony PlayStation!

Responsibilities:
• Effectively communicate with other teams, and tell stories with data
• Conduct a variety of ad hoc data analyses
• Mine data sets and develop reports for live service teams, game developers and executives
• Build and maintain actionable visualizations of gameplay and user behavior
• Peer review SQL queries for errors and optimization
• QA telemetry implementation to ensure data from gameplay is posting accurately

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Min. 2 years' experience analyzing large complex data sets
• Extensive knowledge querying large, robust data sets with SQL, Amazon Redshift a plus
• Experience with data visualization packages, such as Tableau, Power BI or R Shiny
• Strong ability to derive insights from data
• Ability to clearly and concisely create and communicate analysis results and insights to various business groups
• Ability to work in a fast-paced game development environment
• High degree of initiative and ability to learn
• Knowledge of the game of baseball preferred
• Previous experience in the video games industry preferred
