Key responsibilities
• Assist with the overall formulation and execution of test strategies, plans and cases
• Drive innovation and initiatives for standardisation and automation within the group
• Champion the QA effort and direction within group
• Coordinate activities which enforce quality improvements
• Help motivate the team, maintain team focus, and drive change where necessary
• Report to the QA Manager periodically on team and individual work accomplishments, problems and issues, progress in mastering tasks and work processes, and individual and team training needs
• Preparation/execution and review of test plans, test cases/scripts, and test reports
• Closely work with all members of the studio in all aspects of QA
• Ongoing active involvement and contributions within the QA Chapter/Community
• To continually review processes and procedures in order to improve test effectiveness and find efficiencies
• To liaise and work together with our QA counterparts in our offshore studios
• To accurately provide QA planning forecasts and report on any risks or improvements/changes required
• Drive and contribute in the Automation direction
• Integrate Test automation script with Continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD)
Experience and knowledge
• 4+ years of leading QA teams
• Strong work experience in all aspects of QA
• Experience in automation of UI, API, Mobile App, Power Builder application
• Experience working on a CI/CD platform
• Effective Test data management
• Strong work experience in Agile methodology
• Strong knowledge in QA process and Methodologies
Skills and attributes
• Strong communication skills with a goal driven mindset
• Strong QA knowledge and understanding
• Experience working in cross-functional agile teams with a devops culture
• Experience with ALM tools such as Jira, Confluence, Testrail
• Strong systems, problem solving and analytical skills, exceptional verbal & written communication skills
• Excellent self-learner
• Proven ability to work effectively and contributing to the immediate team and to centre of excellence
• Ability to evaluate and challenge functional / non-functional and technical requirements and design
• CI/CD integration using Jenkins/Teamcity/TFS/Azure etc
