Your Mission 

Sledgehammer Games is looking for an experienced Dialog Director to help create a fresh new AAA aural experience for our next project. You will work with the Audio Director and the Narrative Team to take charge of the entire dialog pipeline. Candidates should be versed in casting, coaching talent as well as all technical and interactive aspects of a game dialog pipeline. This includes knowledge of player and npc VO, dialog trees and conversation systems. You will work with our dialog team to ensure delivery of the highest quality dialog with the use of internally developed proprietary tools.
• Manage the dialog team, ensuring the highest quality VO in our projects from inception to completion.
• Work with talent directors to communicate creative intent and narrative design to talent during both dialog and performance capture sessions.
• Communicate with external vendors in the delivery of high-quality dialog assets.
• C ollaborate with the Narrative Team, ensuring excellent inter-departmental communication and alignment of goals.
• Interactive and linear dialog design.
• Dialog asset implementation using proprietary tools.
• Collaborate with audio programmers and designers to develop dialog systems based on creative vision and gameplay needs.
• Apply studio and departmental best practices of dialog workflows and systems.
• Inspire teamwork and collaboration inside and outside the Audio Dept.

Player Profile 
• Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience of all aspects of dialog. 
• Strong understanding of timing, pacing and flow.
• Comprehensive knowledge of various audio processing and futzing techniques.
• Extensive experience in reviewing dialog sessions and selecting appropriate takes and variations.
• Expert knowledge of both linear and interactive dialog systems.
• Ability to identify technical issues and communicate them to engineers.
• Minimum seven years of experience in game audio development. 
• Shipped at least five major titles.     
• Understanding of PS4/5, XBOX One/Series X, and PC audio functionality, capabilities, and limitations. 
• Experience with major digital audio workstations. 
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills. 
• Exceptional organization skills. 
• College degree preferred. 
• Continuing Education Certificate, Professional or advanced degree in game audio, audio engineering, or similar preferred. 

Bonus XP 
• FPS/Multi-player experience a plus.
